About the Dangme Music Awards

The Dangme Music Awards (DMA) is an award scheme created to recognize, celebrate, and promote musicians, DJs, producers, media personalities, and other creatives from Dangmeland. It was established to help elevate Dangme music from a local level to a more competitive national and international standard.

DMA is the premier award scheme dedicated to recognizing, rewarding, and promoting outstanding talents in music, media, and entertainment across Dangmeland — while preserving and advancing the Dangme language and culture.

Our Objectives

  • Promoting Dangme language, culture, and identity through music.
  • Honoring talented artists and industry players from Dangme-speaking communities.
  • Encouraging young musicians to develop their craft professionally.
  • Creating visibility and opportunities for Dangme artists.
  • Preserving traditional Dangme musical heritage while supporting modern music styles.
